Research » Fellowships

The Africa Institute of South Africa strives to empower people with knowledge generation capacity and aims to encourage all researchers to contribute to the development of a knowledge based economy in Africa. AISA realises that knowledge and development often go hand in hand and that in order for Africa to achieve its potential knowledge generation and dissemination are key areas where academics and researchers must contribute.

The fellowship programs at AISA are therefore designed with knowledge production in mind. Fellows will be given the opportunity to contribute to the research of AISA and to publish in AISA’s fully accredited journal, Africa Insight. Visiting fellows will be exposed to one of the most comprehensive library holdings on African affairs in the world. AISA has six fellowship programs, with opportunities for researchers from a wide range of backgrounds.
