Human Resources

This section provides human resources information on priorities and activities during 2010/2011. The main challenges faced during the reporting year were employee turnover, succession planning, recruitment and retention, performance and labour management. As in previous years, the Institution continued to report the difficulties faced in recruiting a diverse work force, as the pool of experienced and qualified candidates is limited. Attracting applications for specialised occupational categories, like researchers, from under-represented groups is also a challenge. Nevertheless almost all research posts were filled following an extensive recruitment drive. The organisational change was implemented to reinforce and strengthen the human capacity in the Research Division.
