Corporate Affairs

The Corporate Affairs, Outreach and International Liaison (OIL) Division of the Africa Institute of South Africa (AISA) is responsible for all stakeholder and media relations, events, branding, marketing communications and reputation building of the Institute. AISA marked its 50th anniversary on 7 April 2010. This important milestone gave the Institute an opportunity to leverage a series of events to commemorate the anniversary, launch a new corporate identity, and reclaim its solid reputation of combining in-depth analysis and research with topicality and policy relevance. To coincide with this great milestone, AISA’s ranking in the Global Go To Think Tank Ranking index also improved tremendously. According to the latest 2010 rankings, released in January 2011, AISA moved up seven places from number 14 in 2009 to number seven in Sub-Saharan Africa in 2010. AISA is now one of the leading think tanks in Africa according to the think tanks and civil societies programme of the International Relations Programme at the University of Pennsylvania in the US.
